HVAC (Final) – Final Inspection Checklist

This checklist ensures that HVAC systems and components are installed correctly, tested, and functioning as required before the trade contractor leaves the jobsite. It emphasizes the proper fitting of grills, verification of airflow, thermostat testing, and ensuring all manuals are provided. Additionally, it confirms the site is clean, systems are operating efficiently, and the final HVAC inspection has been passed.

Remove coverings from ductwork

Install grills square and level; ensure grills in vinyl areas are flush to the floor and do not tilt more than 1/4 inch when stepped on

Fit all ceiling grills flush with the ceiling and ensure they are properly sealed

Ensure all other grills fit snugly

Test HVAC units to verify correct airflow

Install thermostats square and level

Test thermostats for functionality

Place instruction and warranty manuals for the thermostat, air conditioner, and heater in the kitchen drawer to the left of the range
